Convert QBO to generic OFX
Some accounting software (GnuCash, Moneydance, YNAB via OFX import, and others) can import generic OFX files but may not handle the Intuit-specific INTU.BID and INTU.USERID elements gracefully. Converting a QBO file to plain OFX strips those elements and produces a cleaner file for non-Intuit software.
The conversion removes INTU.BID and INTU.USERID from the SONRS block. Everything else — FID, ORG, transaction data — stays intact.

Questions
Which software accepts generic OFX?
GnuCash, Moneydance, iBank, MoneyMoney (Germany), and several other personal finance applications support OFX import. Check your software's documentation for the exact import path.
Does removing INTU.BID affect the transaction data?
No. INTU.BID is in the file header's SONRS block. Transaction data is in the BANKMSGSRSV1 or CCSTMTRS block and is not modified.
